rather vague question. If there's no sun, all life on earth would die due to freezing. Producers-autotrophs-plants produce their own glucose from photosynthesis. Then all the consumers have to consume either plants (herbivore) or both plant and animal (omnivore) or an animal (carnivore) to get the carbs which originally came from photosynthesis. THe decomposers are cable of putrifying-rotting any life form and can thus eat PFC from any cell, prokaryoti or eukaryot.
So, glucose is the chemical answer.....sun is the physics-environmental science answer. ATP is also a biochemistry answer. So please clarify type of question this is.

ATP - adenosinetriphosphates
They are broken down into ADP (adenosinediphosphates) by separating one of the phosphates off and thus the TRI-phosphates turn into DI-phsophates. Creatine then reconnects a phosphate to the ADP and turns it back into ATP to be recycled for more energy.

sun, directly (like plants) or indirectly - by eating plants or other animals who eat plants.
the only exception are some bacteria living in hot springs on the ocean bottom, that get their energy from heat and chemicals of those springs.
