It describes at least three times a large, muscular man "swinging around car aerials". What are they?

So for those who have read the book - I don't get it. It is described as if the guy is performing a huge feat. I could swing around a car antenna.

Theycouldntkillkenny, ask and you shall recieve. I think Cell is a reasonable acheivement in the face of some of King's other work. It isn't as deep and left me wanting more - it had a few flaws that King probably shouldn't have allowed being such an established author. All in all, I loved the book and would like to see a sequel to explain what actually happened, although it will never happen. Just wishful thinking on my part.

older cars always had a metal rod sticking out of the side of the car or out of the roof. It pointed at the sky and was used to retrieve a radio signal from stations that were broadcasting from earth, not satellites. Some cars still have them. Now, the "Cell" character is like lots of bad boys and girls here on earth. The aerial (AKA antenna) can be broken off and used as a weapon. It's kind of a short, metal whip. If it hit you, it would hurt a lot. It is also the kind of thing some people's mothers talked about when they said, "Don't swing that. You could put your eye out." Thanks for the inspiration, by the way. Here's my new question: If you have read at least a couple of Stephen King books, please tell me how u think the "Cell" compares to his past work.
