Check Writer's Market 2006. If they're in it, they're legit and reptible. Have you heard back from them? What's the name of the publihser? What name did you give the novel? Are you aware, that if they agree to publish it, they might want to change the title? Or have you make some changes?

go to the library of congress website first and register your novel for copyright. if it is registered to your name, then you shouldn't have any problems to start with.
find out where they are located and get in touch with the better business bureau. see if they are legit.
