I wouldn't know. He had someone stab me years before. That was after he tried to rig a boat to collapse on me. I survived that but hey, cats only have 9 lives. I get great music down here in hell, though. John Lennon, Frank Sinatra...I could go on and on.

Absolutely nothing. That's a myth. Nero was not playing the fiddle. Romans didn't even know what a fiddle was, since the instrument as we know it today has its roots in the middle ages with either the fidula or rebec several centuries after this famous (yet untrue) incident.
As for what did happen, the historian Tacitus (who was about 9 years old at the time of the fire) says, "At the very time that Rome burned, he mounted his private stage and, reflecting present disasters in ancient calamities, sang about the destruction of Troy". However, Tacitus clearly stated in the same work that the account of Nero singing on the rooftops was a rumour and not an eyewitness account. No one can be sure if it's true or not.
A couple of other historians mention the same incident, however they were not contemporaries of the events and were going on rumour and second-hand reports to make their claims.

"Arrivederci, Roma" - though many historians belive that he was actually playing the bagpipe, rather than the fiddle.
