I have failed more map-reading classes than I've had birthdays. I see people pointing out places and telling me of their plan of destination and, no matter how well my listening skills are, I just cannot understand what they're saying to me. There are also times when someone will show me a map and ask me where a certain place is and how to get there. How do I read it??

Please ... only helpful answers. Thanks.

I've already commented in another posting that you are spacially aware, so your better bet would be to try a 3D map or a map you can move.

Try the maps at Google and see if that helps. I love the ability to zoom in and out to really find where something is. You can do an aerial "walk" over all the major cities and then zoom down to street level. Using the "hyribd" feature helps, since you can see the actual landmarks next to the street name grid...

Good Luck :)

I guess you have to understand the picture you are looking at. Start with a small map with simple points and then work your way up. I am like that with math.
I love maps, I can look at them for days. Do you think that is weird?
