a hit, base on balls, hit by pitch, safe on error, fielders choice,as a pinch runner, running on a dropped 3rd strike, and catchers interference... guess that's 8, oh, and hitting a ball that hits a base runner, he's out but you go to 1st... but thats considered a hit ... call it "8".

I think 4. If you hit it, if it hits you, and if the pitcher pitches 4 balls.Oh and if you have two strikes and on your third the catcher drops it.
But others play differently.
