Go see a doctor, you may have tonsilitis or strep throat.

You need to go see a doctor - preferably an Ear, Nose & Throat guy. They will go over how long you have had the swelling, if it is due to injury, virus, bacteria, allergy, etc..

The only over the counter medicine for inflammation is ibuprofen (Naproxen), but if you had this for this long, I doubt that it would help any. Drink lots of fluids and go to a doctor!

It might not be a sore throat but stress in your neck. When you keep your stress in your neck and upper shoulders, a lot of the time the tenseness can cause a "fake" sore throat. You might just need a chiropratic adjustment.

salt water gargle three times a day.Also try using something for allergic rhinitis like sudafed or drixoral
