I don't own an ice scraper, as I'm in San Diego, CA... however, one "winter" the frost was so bad that we actually needed one, so we sacrificed the morning coffee & poured it all on the windshield. works, but messy!

ice scraper (when available and not broken- which is almost never), cd case, cassette tape case, key (ouch- that didn't work well), credit card, the edge of a 3-ring binder, whatever I can find cluttering up my truck, screwdriver (again- not so good), etc, etc, etc.

Of course, this may explain why I moved from Wisconsin to California for a few years......

i used my sisters binder one time because all of my credit cards were messed up from using them as ice scrapers in previous incidents. The binder worked rather well!!!

Credit card, spatula, knife, pour water on it, a book, my gloves,
anything that works! lol...here in TX we just get ice occasionally-about once a year maybe...we do get frost about 4 times a year though and it's harder to get off!
