I see BLOG and I see WEBSITE....confused? What is a blogs function and is it the same as website's function? If so, why different names?

A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a website where regular entries are made (such as in a journal or diary) and presented in reverse chronological order. Blogs often offer commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although many focus on photographs, videos or audio.
A website is a collection of Web pages, typically common to a particular domain name or subdomain on the World Wide Web on the Internet.

Any page that renders following a "http://" is a web page. A blog - sort for web log is a digest of events, thoughts or comments by the owner of the blog

"BLOG" is an acronym for weB BLOG or web log - it's a "personal" diary.
A website is ANY thing you can get off the internet into your Internet Explorer.
Thus, a BLOG is one TYPE of web site.

A blog is someone point of view on things and they can type it daily. A website is has a domain and you can read, buy, sell, and view things.
