Is it just me?
You can't say that about any other sport- there are ugly basketball players, ugly tennis players, LOADS of ugly (American) football players, ugly hockey players...yet I have yet to see any ugly player in the World Cup.

I think it's the required fitness level, the prevaling body types, and the lack of bulky or dorky uniforms/equipment that makes them seem more attractive.
Not ALL of them are cute. I think I saw a homely guy on the Croatian team....

I agree with you.....totally! Many soccer players are just sexy. Maybe, it's their strong muscular legs that are just right (not like American football players legs). Maybe, it's there sense of self-discipline. I don't know, but the runner up for hot guy producing sports would have to be baseball,,,, after soccer though, of course!

I think they are not cute. But I think they certanly have charism because they have power on the field. Boys are into the game for those 90min and blowing their noses all over, adjusting shorts, checking crotchers, etc, completelly careless of what population thinks of them. We have to remember that this is 100% male sport everywhere but USA, and second most important thing in life of a guy. And I don't think that their idols want to go parading their cuteness in front of one for example Manchester United load of fiery fans. They are not cute nor want to be seen that way. my 2 cents on topic.. good luck!

Not all of the are cute, you know.
But, there sooo... many cute footballers: Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Edwards, Harry Kerwell, Robin Van Persie, Jose Antonio Reyes, Iker Casillas among many, many others....

Most of them are. I have favorites in each team.. and when I can't decide on which team to cheer for I go for the cutest... Crespo from Argentina is gorgeous though he didn't get to play today.. and I was waiting for him to start running around!

well, i agree with you, but not ALL of them are cute. i'm not saying that some are ugly, they're just the so-so looking.. daaaahh, i think ballack and klose are hot *sheeessh* i'm thinking bout germany always..freaky..
