Parents will find out about 95% of the stuff you do. I am in my twenties and just told them I snuck out of the house one time at 16. They didn't know until I told them. This was just one time. I got caught enough to make up for that. And you will get in so much trouble if you do go, and not any if you ask if you can go just this once.
Your parents have their reasons, and them to explain to you why they don't want you to go... most importantly, stay clam... don't get into a fight with them about it! If they say no but you act mature about it, they might start to rethink what they let you do!

First of all TRY talking them into it, it's not a huge deal to see a rated R movie at 14. You see stuff on prime time TV that's just as bad if not worse...If you have no luck then...
Nah, don't do it cause if you get caught, then your parents won't trust y'all and you'll have to earn the trust back again.

I think you need to listen to your parents. It doesn't matter if the scary movies don't bother you. Your parents are ready for you to be exposed to that sort of film yet. Go see X-men or Nacho Libre.

Watch it, if the only thing your parents have to worry about is you watching a bad movie, I'd say they are doing a good job.

Talk with your parents.
Sometimes R rated movies can be scarier than you think.
