There is no specific cure for Migraine, although some medications can help to alleviate pain and reduce the distressing symptoms of the attack.

Drugs may be prescribed either to relieve an existing attack or prevent one from happening in the future.

Avoiding the known triggers of an attack is also an important aspect of treatment.

On the below link you will find different type of treatment for migraine patients.
Some are used to prevent an attack, relieving it, or suggesting new methods.

I get them sometimes, usually brought on by stress, or not eating in the morning or too much or lack of sleep. The best time to catch it is when you feel it coming on, stop whatever it is that you are doing, I used to take Migranil but it started to become ineffective after using it for a few years. Now I take Ketofan 200SR, I never had problems with migraines after that unless I started to get a headache outside and I didn't have any ketofan on me. Then it might turn into a full blown migraine, unless I find a way to calm down and not let pressure from work, or if I eat something right away. With sleep its different, I try to stick to a normal schedule, if I haven't then I can tell when I wake up I can start to feel a dull thud I know to take something or it will get worse, thankfully it builds up to that and doesn't just occur. I don't think migraines just occur like that they usually start out small then intensify as the day, or problem, like lack of eating goes on. If I get the migraine then I have to vomit to get the stomach acidity out wait awhile then I can take medicine or it won't work. Eating after having a migraine never helps it either. At that point I have lost control and must lay down for awhile, throw up, take meds, get some sleep then think about eating later. Hope this helps... oh and having too much coffee on an empty stomach or chocolate and no food can cause it to flare up.

drink tea..it'll relax you. I get migraines and I had to be put on imatrex. When my migraines are really bad the only thing i can do is sleep it a dark room, i had to put black out curtains in my room, so i could sleep in the day if i needed to. When you wake up your body should feel refreshed. I also make a 96 drops lemon essential oil 48 drops lavender essential oil mix in a full honey bear. I put all the honey in a bowl mix it all up with the oils and put it back in the honey bear. I put about a tablespoon in a cup of warm water. it is so calming, if tea doesn't do the trick that will, but tea has caffeine which helps with headaches.

Try Excedrin Migraine, it works for me. Take a HOT rag and place it on your forehead. Go in a quiet, dark room and lay down.

If that doesn't work you may need to go to the dr to get yourself a prescription of something made for migraines. I hope you feel better soon honey...that's miserable..

Get off of the computer for one thing.

Excedrin Migraine works well if you don't have a prescription. Laying in a cool, quiet, dark room. Cover your eyes with a cool rag and think of a peaceful place.

i am a migraine sufferer so i speak from experience. if you do not already have a medicine perscribed by your doctor for migraine incidences you can go to the ER and they can hook you up to an IV. (then i would suggest seeing your doctor about getting a perscription). Also for temporary treatment i use ice packs and massage my head, but unfortunately theres nothing that really work but the meds

If you regularly suffer from migraines, try a one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. It's manual treatment, and the effects on the self-healing power of your body are amazing - experienced them myself! :-)

Just - the treatment is available in California and Europe only, costing approx. 220 dollars. It's worth the travelling!

go to the Dr hun, major migraines can be caused by problems that if not caught early can cause neurological problems. (don't meant to scare you) Either way give your doc a call they can proscribe you something.
