The greatest has to be when the USA Olympic hockey team upset the heavily favored Soviets in the 1980 Olympic games semi finals and on to the gold medal. The second greatest was when The Cinderella Man Jimmy Braddock upset heavily favored heavyweight champion Max Baer in 1934 to win the title.
