This is as simple as adding you know 1+1 = 2 which is 2-0=2 which is how many more titles Elway has than Marino. You do the math and tell me.

Does it matter who is 2nd or 3rd best? Joe Montana is the best! The only difference between Elway and Marino is Elway has a ring neither beat the Niners and at least Marino didnt cry and demand to be traded when he was drafted like Elway did when the Colts took him

absolute self belief - Elway. Marino had the technical qualifications. He turned right into a much more effective positive quarterback than Montana in that appreciate. yet this isn't delusion football - that is the NFL. Marino in undemanding words took his team to the Superbowl once. UNO. Elway - 5 cases, triumphing two times. he's all started more effective Superbowls than the different QB. He RAN for touchdowns in 4 distinct Superbowls - no operating decrease back has more effective than that. i'm no Broncos fan, yet Elway had the intangibles that each and each body needed Marino had. Marino made it to the enormous recreation his second 3 hundred and sixty 5 days - that is not any longer as if the Dolphins did no longer have time to construct a good team round him. The freakin' gross sales CAP did not come round for yet another decade. all the Dolphins appeared to construct round Dan turned right into a itemizing of excuses for failing.

Statistically, Marino has Elway beat .. except in comeback victories (41 - 37) and games won (148-147)

However, Elway has done something that Marino never did - won the Super Bowl!

When the game is on the line, I would have to go with Elway. It is harder to rattle Elway than it is to rattle Marino.

Well, it all depends on the criteria you choose. Statistically, there's not much doubt Marino is better. When it comes to winning games Elway was better.

I always use two criteria. Who would I chose to build a franchise around? And, if I had to win one game who would I want? The answer to both these questions in my opinion is Joe Montana. But given just the two players you've mentioned. John Elway: 14-8 in post season including Five Super Bowl appearances, and Two Super Bowl wins. Marino 8-10 in postseason play. One Super Bowl appearance and lost. (To Joe Montana) There's little doubt the answer would be John Elway between the two names you gave me.

They are both the same kind of quarterback. Both played for teams which had offensive problems over the years, and both managed to have outstanding careers.
Dan Marino will be remembered for his passing record, but somewhat forgotten because he didn't win a Superbowl.
John Elway will be remembered for carrying the Broncos in the lean years, and an outstanding finish with 2 superbowls.
Both will go to the Hall Of Fame
I rate these gentlemen as being pretty much evenly matched, but my personal favorite was Marino.

I have to add an adendum for RWC666: Answer - almost any QB in the Hall Of Fame.

It's Marino. You can have your opinion, you have the right to be wrong lol.

Ok we say Elway had the rings BUT here is another one for you. Marino lost 1 count them ONE Superbowl. Elway lost 3. So we could say that he Marino just didn't have the CHANCE.

I am a huge huge fan of each qb. I believe John Elway is the GREATEST qb ever. I think Dan the man Marino is up there but he never one a Super Bowl. He only went to one. He does have the greatest stats ever, but the whole point of being a qb and playing a profesional sport is winning......you play to win the game. herm edwards.

Elway!

C'mon, Marino NEVER had the ability to carry the entire team
on his back. He was a very good Q.B., but is not in the same
league as Elway!
