I think we've a problem here of clarity and double-standard. Iraq was invaded in the names of Human Rights violations, Disarmament and Terrorism. Even if Iraq had and has WMD (and I believe any nation has the right to protect and defend its territory) and Saddam is a "terrorist" (a very subjective matter), I still see no justification for the 2003 invasion of Iraq -

The USA and Great Britian, like most gov'ts, are also guilty of Human Rights Violation. Currently, the USA has the most lethal WMD. The UN's NPT was to prevent the spread of WMD and to achieve complete disarmament. Thus, why was Iraq, and not the USA or Russia (that have both refused, for more than 30 years, to comply with signed UN treaties on WMD) or Israel, targeted? Would they be in Iraq if Iraq did not have its priced treasure?

Remember Blair's said that "terrorism and disarmament go hand in hand", when asked how the search for bin Laden bacame a quest for Saddam: I think he means that Plundering and natives' or inhabitants' capability for self-defense do not go hand in hand - remember Thomas Gage and Francis Smith and their mission of April 18,1775, in North America? To ensure plundering, they were to seize and destroy all artilleries and ammunitions found. Was or is the American resistance back then "insurgency"? The invasion of Iraq was just the customary revenue generation for GB and, sadly, the USA gov't.

GB is an Imperialistic gov't still dreaming of its colonial days, and the USA gov't is following right in its footsteps. They both have to be opposed.

I feel very bitter about war in Iraq, not only because am an Arab or concerned about peace in the Middle East or even because am against the idea of war in the first place, but because it’s a Lose-Lose situation.

The war ended the bloody era of a vicious ruthless dictator, but sparked another bloody clash of different sects in a very confused society.

And I think it’s very obvious why the American president sent all these troops for an uncertain mission with very vague objectives and an undetermined extent.

War on terror is a global issue that we all should stand for; we all suffered from terrorism whatever its causes were.
But a war in a country to bring democracy to it on an American fashion, that’s the lamest excuse, a war could happen for.

Wars cause more conflicts than the ones it started to resolve.
That’s what I believe in.

And for the lady, whose son is in Iraq, believe me I feel sorry for all of the parents who lose their children at war, especially in a country where it’s illegal for you to drink when you’re 18 but you can go to war!!

I hate the war, I want our soldiers to come home (my son is in the Army), but as long as they are over there, I will be praying for them and thinking of them, and supporting them any way I know how.

I think this is an unwinnable war. I think no matter how soon we withdraw our troops or no matter how long we leave them over there, it won't be long after we leave that some other crazy extremist will rise up and take the place of the madmen we managed to depose. So why are we wasting our money and efforts and time? I don't understand it.

I think that the war in Iraq is tied closely to the war on terror. Al-Qaeda is the cause for the insurgency there as well as around the world, so when we attack Al-Qaeda at the same time as the insurgency. I realize many people have been killed, but we must press on to demoralize and eventually decapitate Al-Qaeda

I just totally hate this war. I feel we were brought into the situation under false pretenses and we continue to be deceived! I hurt for the families that have lost their loved ones to the war and wonder if they can ever feel totally in truth with the administration anymore? It is so sad, so heart wrenching!

No one wants war-but unfortunately it is sometimes necessary to fight a war to bring about peace . The very nature of the word"war" is unpopular , naturally , but the cause is what it's all about .Men die to make others free .It will always be a sad but necessary fact .
