I loved Laguna Beach. I'M OBSESSED with "The Hills." What is it about these shows that keep us watching? Is it because we're rooting for LC? That we secretly have a thing for Jason, even though he's a jerk? What is it?

I really like The Hills a lot better than Laguna Beach. I like LC and she seems like a genuinely nice person. I keep watching it because I really dislike Heidi and I keep hoping that she's going to get fired from Bolthouse (even though it looks like she's going to quit anyway) - but I just keep watching to see if Heidi will screw up more and then I get all happy. I'm so evil! Her boyfriend is a jerk - encouraging her to quit school AND her job just so she can hang out with him - they are both losers. But in any case, this show is heavily edited (as is any reality show) so a lot of things we see can be perceived quite differently. Either way, it makes for great entertainment!

I liked Laguna Beach better than the hills right now. But dont get me wrong, i'm still a sucker and have to watch the Hills every week. I just think LC's really boring and ur friend Heidi is seriously missing a screw. The whole part now with Jason coming back into her life is really lame too. She should've dated someone else before thinking about answering his phone calls. But the previews for the upcoming episodes look cool when her & Jason are arguing but it also sucks because you have the same outcome and you know from tabloids they're still together. I just don't like how she really gets jealous easy and is quick to dismiss people just because she's a snob like that. Like although I dont like Heidi that much, it was way rude and selfish for Lauren to hang up on her when she called her and was telling her she got the job. She need to really deal with some issues herself. Hopefully she does because it'll make it an even more interesting show. But yes, to answer your question, something just draws us in to watch it every week. I think its all the DRAMA.

Jason is the bad boy that everyone wants to tame. I always did like LC though. She seems so much likeable than all the other girls on that show. I hated Kristin on Laguna Beach and now I hate Heidi. I really really want LC's job though.

I think its interesting to watch these kids and their "glamorous" lives with all their drama.
I love LC, and think she is really nice. for some reason, I too want her and Jason to work out. Crazy, but I am! I dislike Heidi quite a bit, she is not a very good friend..
I think Laguna Beach was a little bit better though.

YESSS I LOVE THE HILLS AND LAGUNA BEACH =) and I 100% AGREE with peanutpuff I don't think that Heidi will ever find her niche in life, and her bf isnt helping at all he's a horrible influence.

im not obsessed with it but i was obsessed with laguna beach!
i think all the drama of the show keeps us watching it

that show is like lame whats the point of watching some chick runing around all over LA. And sitting around in a office with tacky music.

I like hills too. I like driving over hills in my car and seeing what's on the other side. I like my girl's hills too. So nice.

i liked laugua beach, better than the hills but i still watch it every week i can't stand hedi though i think she is lazy.
