Don't you hate it when a comic book character dies, and then, is brought back to life? The whole point of killing off a comic book character is to add depth to the storyline. Well, if you KNOW the character is coming back, what is the point?

It used to be a special occurrence, but nowadays, any super hero can (and will) come back from the dead. The Green Goblin should have stayed dead because that was closure to the whole Gwen Stacey storyline. And when Superman got killed by Doomsday, you just KNEW he was coming back. Heck, even the frickin' Spider Clone came back from the dead. Now, we are resurrecting clones? What's next, bringing back Uncle Ben?

Does ths tick anyone else off?

I do hate that they continually bring characters back - how many times does Phoenix/Jean Grey have to come back? Just off the top of my head, here is a list of comic book characters, thought to be dead, that have come back:

Bucky, Superman, Green Lantern(Hal Jordan),Robin (Jason Todd), WonderGirl, Red Skull, WonderMan, Hawkeye, Baron Zemo, Colossus, Iron Fist

I realize that killing a character is big sales, and that every fanboy has to get that issue. And everyone knew Superman would come back. However, I feel it cheapens the story when the writer has to revert to bringing a dead character back for shock value. There used to be a saying: "No one really dies in the Marvel Universe except for Uncle Ben and Bucky" but seeing how 50% of that saying is untrue,,,yeah I can see Uncle Ben coming back (which he had kinda done, with the alternate universe Uncle Ben)

Yes, you can more or less count comics to be like soap operas..they just keep coming back. I know the Green Goblin was over with..then you bring them back. Clones? Why are we bringing clones back for Christ's sake.. I mean move on.. New people to face already! They should use more imagination

Spider Man is Dead?

No, I don't care. You will get tired of comic books as you get older. Now, when they bring ex-wives and husbands back from the dead, then a lot of people will be in trouble!!

This happens in real life too. I know someone who gets so disgusted with her crappy life that she has committed suicide and died about 6 times aready at least. Needless to say, she is still alive. So now when she is in a depressed state of mind and saying she has a couple of bottles of sleeping pills I just tell her to make sure she takes then all at once.

Then she goes offline and comes back a couple of days later, still alive.

No... I have things in real life to worry about. I can't spend that time thinking about the fake deaths of comic book characters.

Yeah. You like to suspend reality when you read a comic book, and immerse yourself in the world, but when they do such cheap plot digs as that, it just makes you want to go do something else. Like look at Internet porn.
