because you are sick, snot is not suppose to be green, more on the clear side.

It is not so much the snot which is green as the phlegm component, and this is only when it is infected. Neither healthy snot nor phlegm is really green. It becomes so in the presence of infection because of the large numbers of white blood cells present, which make their way through the airway walls to combat the infection. They also give pus a whitish-green colour. So it should be white but it's snot. The green stuff is normal snot thats got a few extra things in it. So heres some some basic info about snot and the sinuses where snot comes from. I'll get onto the reason why it's green after this explanation.

Its only green or yellow if there is an infection present, snot should be clear.

Snot's not green unless you have a big prblem like an infection. It should be clear.

green snot means you have something. you're most likely sick. snot is supposed to be clear.

it's snot!...actually the prism qualities of that mucus make it appear green but in effect it is actually clear....I would suggest that you focus on more intellectually enlightening subjects such as why is the sky blue or why is water blue?...you will find interesting answers to that too.

Usually nasal mucous is clear. Green or yellow indicates infection. So get to a doctor and get penicillan.
