you know. i live w/ my fiance. and he has a big heart. try to pick a movie that you will BOTH enjoy. if it is date night, figure out if he likes chick flicks, or scary movies , etc. I rented Eight Below , the new Disney movie, and him and i both loved it. he cried too.
