The hostages held by Iran were supposed to be released earlier than they were. But Regan wanted the credit. Any idea as to what kind of a deal was made.

Iran only released them because they knew Regan would not play their game. If he promised them anything ,it was destruction

Maybe he promised them the remains of the aliens who crashed in Roswell and the original reels from when the moonlanding was filmed in a Hollywood basement. He might've also given them the Loch Ness Monster, which would explain why nobody has found it all these years. And maybe Oswald's magic bullet.

You betcha! THat was one of the biggest pieces of political manipulation I have ever seen! He kow towed to his wife so much it was pathetic.He never HAD any power. He was just a titular head.Did I mention I wasn't fond of him?
