my best friend told me a secret and i told someone else and she found out about it.now she says that she doesn't trust me anymore.i want her to trust me again but now she won't even talk to me.can anyone give me any tips on how to get her to talk to me?

UUUU that is a hard one. My best friend did that to me. I confide in her and I told her it was very personal. I needed to vent and I needed her to be a friend, so I told her. She then shared it with another friend. She of course thought she was helping, but insted made it worse. .
It was very important to me that she understood why I felt betrayed and how important it was that I could trust her. We talked about the situation and worked it out. In time she earned my trust back.
We have known each other since kindergarten, but became good friends after high school, eighteen or so... This situation happened around nineteen which was several years ago and it is now… water under the bridge and we joke bout it.
Do not push it, talk bout it (do not let it simmer) and let time heal the wounds.

This is a very hard question and answer... Trust is something that is hard to build with another person and easily destroyed. First, why did you tell something that was told to you in confidence..Most TRUE friends would not think of doing that.!!!
Have you tried talking to her.. Sometimes if you can explain your side and why you told the secret...it may help.
Sounds like to me, You are going to have to re-build that trust.. It will not be easy but you will need to in order for her to continue being your friend.
Your heart will tell you what to say and when...work at it ...

I've been through the exact, exact situation. My best friend came around eventually. She called me up and said, "You do know I'm not mad anymore, right?" I was like, "Yeah" cause I hjad been freaking about what our friendship would come to be. She said "Look I thought about it, and I don't want a stupid secret to come between our friendship" Maybe you can tell her that when you see her. "Hey, do you really value our friendship? Or are you gonna let a secret come between it?" My best friend doesn't trust me as much as before, but she has a point you know. I told her secret and I dont deserve to be trusted. Dont worry, the trust will grow back, it will. It will grow a little slow but, yeah it will grow.

if only your friend is angry, then you are lucky! that could have came out even worse, depending on the secret, i mean you could have been possibly accused of slander or something similar. so ill advice you learn your lesson and dont do the same thing ever again. you can try talking to her after a long while, but personally i wouldnt want anything to do with somebody who discloses a secret. let it rest and treat your other friends better. after all it is about respect.

For me,let her be for the meantime.You made the mistake so say sorry and after that all you can do is wait for her decision.Do apologize sincerely and make sure dont do it again.And give her a gift with the apology.If she still accept you as a friend ,she will accept it.So cherish it and be truthfull now.If you are tempted to do it again then think if it happens to you.Ok?

since u did a very wrong thing u can not make her to trust u but the only way u can fix it up is to think about it , make up some thing and lie about what u did and tell her i had to say so otherwise some thing like ur image would have been ruined some thing like that just lie ...that's the only way otherwise she is not gonna trust u she might be talkin to u again but forget about trusting stuff

this happened to me...except the other way around. let her learn to trust u again by not sharing secrets or telling her lots of ur secrets to show her that yu trust her

If you are best friends, Time would heal the wounds......Trust can take a long time to build and a second to be broken. She will trust you again but it will take a long time.

You told something she told you in secret. you violated her trust. you have to wait and see if she ever forgives you. If she does, be prepared for her not to trust you with "the good secrets".
