ALL 3 OF MY KIDS HAVE HAD THEIR'S DONE, MY OLDEST DAUGHTER HAS HAD HERS FOR ALMOST 9 YEARS NOW, IT DOES HURT A LITTLE, BUT THE PLACE MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER WENT NUMBED HER TONGUE B/4 PIERCING IT, DONT BE NERVOUS, THEY DO IT SO QUICK IT'S OVER IN NO TIME. RIGHT AFTER YOU HAVE IT DONE CHEW ON ALOT OF ICE FOR A DAY OR TWO TO KEEP THE SWELLING DOWN AND CARRY AROUND A SMALL BOTTLE OF MOUTHWASH TO RINSE YOUR MOUTH OUT ALL THE TIME. ONCE IT HEALS SOMETIMES YOU'LL FORGET YOU EVEN HAVE IT. KEEP CHECKING THE TIGHTNESS OF THE BALLS, THEY COME LOSE AND YOU COULD ACCIDENTLY SWALLOW THEM. GO TO EBAY...I BOUGHT MY DAUGHTER 50 DIFFERENT COLORED TONGUE RINGS FOR ONLY 10.00 ...............GOOD LUCK AND DONT WORRY

It only hurts a little the healing is the worst than actually getting it done. I got mine when I was 15 and I'm now 25 and I still like it. I actually talk funny without it now. You will talk a little wierd at first but after the swelling goes down you'll be fine. Just make sure it isn't to close to the tip you could end up with a lisp.

ummm...initicially getting it pierced doesnt hurt...but afterwards your tounge swells up and makes you talk funny...and you cant eat for like a long time..and also if you get it done and someone tries to tell you to eat ice to ease the swelling and pain..DONT do it..i almost choked and diesd this way...well not seriouslly..but it was pretty traumatic..if your tounge hurts afterwards try drinking a slurpee.BY the way...do your parents know...you seem a lil young..i wouldnt want my 16 yr old walkin around looking like a lil hoochie..and no matter what you think or say..guys will percieve you to be easy if you have one..promise.

Yeah get it done for sure.. it does hurt .. do you think it wouldnt? It hurts when you kick your toe of course a needle through your tongue would hurt!! Its pretty aweseome though.. got mine done when I was 17 .. but you wont be able to talk properly for a few days. Avoid dairy food for at least 4 days (there is too much bacteria in it). Try eating chips though , they are the easiest coz you can jst stick them in the side of your mouth. It took me half hour to eat once slice of toast.. & what really kills is when you bit the tongue ring OUCH!!

my daughters have there toungues peirced and yes it hurts 2 get it done but if you make sure 2 only eat ice cold foods for 2 days then the swelling will not be 2 bad.u must keep it real clean but know that it increases ur chances of infections.

My ex said it didnt hurt- I would never do it, they're hideous, theres a high chance of infection, or tounge paralysis-
Plus it really does not add much for kissing etc-
I vote NO!

Well when I got it done I had just turned 18 and it did not hurt persay, it more or less stung. It felt like a bee sting on my toungue lol. Overall, not a bad experience. I say go for it :)

I really would think long & hard :) about getting it done. You wont be able to talk clearly for like a yr. My sister did it & her toungue got infected & she was rushed to the emergency room and had to get her piercing taken out. Why mutilate your body?

Pain is personal to each individual. What doesn't hurt me, might be excruciating pain to you and vice versa. If you want it done, you will get it. If you don't, you won't.
