Having been in the military for so many years, I've been in countries where pork, beef and sea foods are considered dirty meats. And we as Americans consider it healthy and clean. It is just different cultures and food choices that seperate us. To them dogs, cats, turtles, elephants, monkeys are just animal meat meant for human consumptions. I respect that and I don't want them to tell me otherwise which meat I can and I can't eat coz that would be wrong! I've tasted dog meat and it tasted better than the cat. I'd prefer to eat it over a goat but I'd rather have lamb anytime!!! It was cooked adobo, kaldereta and kilawen...yum,yum!

I ate a dog once when I was a child without knowing what it was because my parents kept on telling me how good the food was for the body. It was sort of like a soup/stew with all the vegetables and cut up dog meat put together in a spicy way. I remember liking the taste but I nearly cried when I found out that it was a dog that I had eaten.

My mom's friend went to China two years ago. The first day he got there, it was really late and he was relly hungry. So, he went to this resturant and pointed to something on the menu, he didn't care what he ate at that time. So, he ate the dish and he loved it!!! he thought it was really nicely prepared chicken!!! But then the waiter cmae and he could speak some english. He said, " You like cat?" My mom's friend put the money on the table and ran out of the resturant so fast!!! He is now a veg.

I ate dog in thailand in a broth with noodles, it was rather tough and spicy. I have eaten bob cat, as a wild game animal. We sauteed it with chinese vegetables. The cat meat was like rubber and not very flavorful. I prefer the dog meat.

different cultures have different values. many of the social mores of america were pushed into being by old women with eating disorders. and yet americans still eat some terrible stuff. a favorite in america is chicken, a disgusting and filthy cannibal, and yet people who claim to "eat healthy" devour chicken.

hahahahhaha, I dont see why people bug out about eating dogs and cats. THEY ARE THE SAME AS ANY OTHER ANIMAL (chicken, fish, cow, pig), INCLUDING US!!!
people who say DONT EAT IT BECAUSE THEY ARE OUR COMPANIONS are silly, unless they are veggy, or vegan.
I used to eat goat meat, it tasted good, then I got grossed out by the fact that I was eating a goat.
