One time I was in the Caribbean, and this little blow fish was following me around. He was swimming with me for a couple of dozen yards, when he decided to turn and start poking me right square in the mask. Well of course, this got me to start laughing... Not a good thing to do at 40 feet. So, I gently tried to push him away, but he kept on coming back and poking me square in the mask. For some reason this kept getting funnier and funnier, until I spotted a blue Parrot fish staring at us both. His front bucked teeth were so huge, all I could thing of was Austin Powers. That's all I need to see. I started laughing so hard, I spit out my mouthpiece, dropped my weights and shot to the surface hoping I wasn't going to drown from laughter. I had to call it a day after that. Luckily, my wife saw the whole thing, grabbed my weights and followed me up. She said I was peeing my suit as I ascended, I was laughing so hard.....

I live in Far North Queensland, Australia...on the Great Barrier Reef, even been here?

I have a few diving stories...

first, we would get hand-lines and rig them with bait and then go snorkelling out over the reef. Then when we saw a fish that looked nice for lunch just dangle the bait in front of the fish and then you have lunch. we would just swim back to the boat with the fish swimming behind us...

second, i remember one time when i was snorkelling on a reef. I was just swimming around looking at fish and coral. Next thing I know there are maybe 40 black tip reef sharks swimming all around me. I freaked out at first cause I was about 100m from the boat, but reef sharks are not really intested in humans for meals. Thought it was quite scary looking at a water line full of triangle fins with black tips.

I have other stories cause I have been snorkelling and diving on the Great Barrier Reef since I was 6 so if you need any more help feel free to email me through here...

Yes... on my check-out dive (final test) my tank got hung up on the guide line, while in a 5 not current. I felt like a flag on a flag pole.
