yes you must report your card stolen and also if you have any credit cards then call all of them and change each of your passwords so you will stay safe.
If you don't do this then someone will use your social security card and get some of your other information to use against your credit.

It'd really be dumb not to. Who ever stole it now has your ID and cause so much trouble. Report it stolen and the SS office will issue you a new one and make note that your first one was stolen.

You don't have to report but if you don't and someone uses you social security card, you will be held responsible. So report it asap.

If you know about it and don't report it to the needed authorities, depending on what happens with it, you could be named as an accomplice. This would be a federal offense.
