I am trying to find out what the cause could be. I am pretty sure I'm not pregnant. Is there any other causes for this soreness?

You could be pregnant. Antiobiotics diminish the effectiveness of birth control pills. I'd take a pregnancy test if you know you've had sex in recent months while taking your antiobiotic.

If you're sure you're not pregnant you're not eating enough essential oils.
You need to have a bite of fatty fish a little more often or add linseed to your diet.
And start eating more things that end on berry.
Strawberry raspberry etc.
Birth-control takes a lot from your body because you're lying to your brain.
You're telling your brain you're pregnant so the brain distributes the food between you and your "baby" .
And I don't know the exact medicine of Flagyl but all chemical meds also take a toll on your body.
This makes that you'll need to help your body deal with all those extra toxins and there for need extra vitamins and stuff.
But the nipple soreness shows you need more Salmon and stuff.

Sometimes towards the start of your period you can have some breast tenderness. It is not abnormal.
I have some once and awhile. It goes away. The Flagyl should not be causing it.

Your breasts never stop growing and so it could be tenderness from that. Your birth control pills could be causing the pain do to the hormones. It could be caused due to your period starting. If it continues to bother you talk to your doctor.

When I was on the pill more years ago than I care to mention I had morning sickness and sore breasts. My doctor explained that the pill gave me pregnancy symptoms. He explained that you do not get pregnant because your body already thinks it is pregnant. ???????????????
