I am a pragmatist, and feel that something can be useful and valuable, even if not "valid" in a strictly scientific sense.

If a ritual helps a person concentrate their attention on a problem they wish to solve, it will be helpful. It may only increase their acuity when an appropriate opportunity presents itself, but isn't that magic enough?

Isn't the complexity of an insect's wing, as it pollinates a flower, and the relationship between flower and insect magical?

And if science attunes me to this complexity, then science is magic.

I believe that at one time, everything was one, magic, science, art. The cave art helped the hunter survive, the hunt inspired the fashioning of tools, the tool combined functionality and beauty. I feel a sensuous pleasure when I handle my drafting compass. This is magical and wonder enough for me.

I believe magic is an art that is fast becoming lost in our society. We are getting too far removed from Nature and losing our ability to do and recognize magic. White magic is good, black magic is evil.

Nope.
I don't believe in magic because there's only one Supreme God who can perform miracles and wonders.
I once heard on a program on tv that, there's a part of our brain which perceives such acts and makes us see them as magic.
So to me, there's nothing like magic.

Of course. Only people who think they already know everything don't believe in magic.
