I think you should go to your GP, to get a check-up. That's what I would do.

Hi - I had the same problem when I came off my pill, having been on it for 8 years. It took 8 weeks for me to get my period at all, and a further 3 months for it to settle into any sort of rythym. Im 26 and I dont think youll ever stop being irregular if thats something you suffer from, I know I still have no idea when to expect anything in that department!

It can take a while for all the hormones to return to normal. I went all my life with irregular periods. Now, granted I only had them for 17 years (I'm 33), but that was enough to understand that the pill can really do something to your system. If it keeps going on and you don't start, then go to the doctor. There is something called Provera that you can take that will start you going.

Unfortunately if you have a history of irregular periods age does not change this. However, you need to get to the doctors like tomorrow!!!!! Just to get everything checked out. they will do a pregnancy test there and then so that will give you the answer to that question.

Are you on any diet, or under a great deal of stress? Both of these can cause skipped periods. But if you're on the pill, neither of those should be a factor for whether it happens or not. Go to your doctor straightaway, and they can do tests to find out what's going on. This is not healthy.
Good luck!

get checked by your obgyn, you might have a condition called PCOS, it can make you miss your periods, you must get this checked out, PCOS left untreated can possibly lead to endometrial cancer, that is why you must have a period at least every 3 months. Good luck I mean it, I have been suffering with it since I was 10 years old, infact I am currently getting ready to start my 3 month cycle of pilles for 10 days to make me have mine, so I know how you feel.

It could definitely be because you came off the pill, especially if you were on it for a while. It could also be stress. Go get it checked out as soon as possible.
