Do you think the people who report abuse on here are just being tattle tales, or are they necessary to keep this site the way it should be?

yahoo doesn't have enough helpers to scan all of the questions. so it's up to us to help them out. i have reported several myself and will continue to do so.
if you want to call me a name for that. that's just fine with me.
don't give me a hard time. my stomach hurts me when i laugh too much. :)

I can see why Yahoo are wanting to be quite careful about what they allow to be posted. First up they're probably not keen on being sued and no matter how good their disclaimer is, someone is bound to test it at some point if they allow a total free-for-all.
The second is that spam and trash and nonsense have a way of accumulating. Once you allow a little bit, it tends to build. Let's face if this site were nothing but a bunch of staged questions leading to an answer like 'Yes, Viagra would be the perfect solution for you and you can get it cheap at...' (remember to read that in your cheeriest, most annoying voice!) would you be here, or would you find more interesting things to do elsewhere?
So, to actually answer your question, yes I think they do help keep this site going, because when you clear out the potential libel and spam, you clear the way for questions that can actually help people.

If my son did not tattle-tale on his brother through informing me that his brother became attempting to adhere a tail end of metal salon comb into an electric powered outlet you are able to guess he would have were given a good spanking. also, at the same time as stuck, the fellow who did not tattle-tale turns into an adjunct to the the crime.

That is one of the biggest problems here....if you steal, I'll report you, If you direct or help people steal I'll report you..if you are involved in piracy of any kind I'll report you...Why? You make the rest of us pay for your dirty deeds and I'm sick of it!!
Now for unjustified reports (which I have had!!) those are left by absolute friggin losers with no life and no intelligence who have parents that need tighter control of them and maybe a few good whooooooopins!!

i think that reporting kinda helps this site going but i got in trouble for asking No offense guys i was mad at my boyfriend....Why are men stupid? i got reported but earlier this girl asked why are men a**h*les thats worse so tell do i have the right to report her?
