it was the chicken because when God created Adam and Eve he then created plants animals and everything else in the world. he created chickens of course to and that means the chicken came first! If the egg came first how would it of hatched? Nothing was there to warm it! lol.

I'm going with the egg.

The very first animal that could be considered a chicken would have been hatched from an egg produced by an animal that was very nearly a chicken, but not quite.

Of course - you could also go with the completely diversionary answer and say it was the egg because reptiles reproduce through eggs and reptiles predate fowls by several million years.

The egg, the very first arthropods were invetbrates were laying eggs millenia before there were chickens. Then fish layed eggs, then amphibians, then reptiles, then dinosaurs, then the first birds, then chickens. But if you mean the first chicken egg, then it would be the chicken. The first chicken evovled from some other kind of bird, so there was a chicken before a chicken egg.

I believe it was the egg because I don't think the chicken was one of God's original species. I don't remember seeing them on Noah's ark. So, I am guessing they must be evolved from one of the originals, so then the first one would have been hatched from an egg.

One day, a chicken mysteriously appeared. He found a hen. Together, they laid eggs in the Lord's blissful world. Just kidding. I say the egg came first.

It's obvious that the chicken had to lay the egg so you figure it out.
