A tail. It helps with balance, and can be used effectively for other things as well. The pouch is more easily replicated by carrying a purse, briefcase, or backpack.

A tail to flirt with duhhhhhhhh.
Cute story:
I know a OLD lady that at every May Day Parade (Saint Louis) she wears a fur cat suit with a long tail and high heels in like 90 degree weather. She's not crazy either. She just likes to flirt with men with the tail.

A pouch seems more feminine to me.Plus a tail can help me climb trees better.
