Wow....so this question has been asked about a zillion times now on Yahoo! Answers word for word. (Maybe I'm exagerating a bit but it has been asked at least 5 times today.) When you begin to type in a question, similar questions appear underneath. Did you not notice that the same question had been asked several times word for word? Try searching before you post questions that have been asked, especially when they have been asked in the same day.

A turtle's spine is atcually atached to the shell, so if a turtles shell is missing, it's dead

If a turtle doesn't have a shell, it is probably road kill or some other kind of reptile/ lizard.

i will say homeless..because the shell is the turtles home...they hid in it when they are in danger....i don't think they are hiding in their cloth?!!! so basically they are homeless and since they have nothing to hid in when they are in danger..so they will be attacked and die..

My daughter asked me that yesterday. She is 9. I didn't really have an answer for her. The poor creature will die. Not what she wanted to hear.
