I feel like I'm a football player/baseball player and my picture is flashed up with people judging me by my height, weight, age, profession, and accomplishments ... without even saying "Hi, how are you" ...

Is this all that really matters in Western societies???

It seems like that. I find myself being judged by men because I don't have a college degree although we have so much other important stuff in common. So much for the statistics. I guess we are considered items not people

Every nation on Earth does this - the difference is WHAT people value. If we went to Tonga we would be judged on how STRONG we are. What a society values, they rate. It is that simple.
