You 'sound' very young. You get friends from school, church, the park, friends of other relatives, volunteering at your library or school, joining a bowling league or playing some other sport, or, answering personal ads.

DEAR AJ,
That is a great question. I have not read the answers that you got,
but some of the things that have helped me make really good friends are joining groups that share my interests. Do you belong to any groups? Going to different churches and talking to people about my spiritual ideas, and getting their ideas. I have also made enemies by doing that-lol. Know at least five really great jokes! Use deodorant frequently. have a really great cookie recipe and share cookies with people you would like to get to know. Volunteer at your local hospital, human society, or an organization that interests you! Go to the park, book store and poetry reading, and always talk to people.
Get their numbers and go to lunch or a movie. I hope that helps you! Also be a friend to yourself first, by taking care of yourself and being healthy! Also adopting and animal such as a dog or cat can be a GREAT WAY TO START A LIFE LONG FRIENDSHIP. THEY ARE GREAT FRIENDS TOO!

Remember to first be yourself. True friends will like you for who you are. But you can make friends anywhere in public. If you go to school become study partners with someone. If you are out in public somewhere strike up a conversation about what they are doing or what brand they are wearing. I have made many friends just by asking people questions and being friendly.

i know this may sound lame, but just be yourself. treat others with the same respect that you would want them to give you. not everybody is always nice, especially over the internet, so don't take things personal.
