You go to your daughter's high school and when you get to the principal's office he tells you that your daughter pulled a prank on another girl that made her bald.He wants to suspend her from school for the rest of the year but he offers a compromise instead.
He tells you that she can stay in school if she allows anyone in the school to play a prank on her for the rest of the year no matter how cruel.What punishment would you think would be the most effective?

I know this sounds mean but shave her head. Let her know how it feels.

What in the H_ _ _ is wrong with that principal !!!!! If the school policy is that suspension is in order then so be it but under no circumstances should she be put in a position to be ridiculed and picked on by other students! Protect your daughter and report that principal to the superintendent of that school district. As far as punishment for your daughter, the suspension should be the least of her worries. I would definitely make her apologize in person the the girl she pranked and the parents of that girl. (with your supervision of course) Keep in mind kids make mistakes, let her learn compassion for others from this mistake. Please protect her and discipline her at the same time - it can be done.

I think the fairest thing would be to let the other girl decide your daughter's fate. You should make it easy for her, though, and encourage her to be creative and ensure the punishment fits the crime.
This is what I would go for:
Sell the rights to shave your daughter's head at a school assembly. Have a teacher in charge of accepting money. Kids and teachers can participate. The person giving the single-largest donation gets to do the actual shaving. All money goes to a charity decided on by your daughter AND her victim. Your daughter's hair can be donated to Locks of Love.

I would take her out of the school and make her get a job and pay for a hat/wig whatever for the other girl and any money she makes you take and put away for her future (she cannot gain anything from the job). Besides that a sincere written apology the girl, another to the school and others to anyone else effected.
Either that or make her go to school and be the other girls slave.
Tell the principal 2 wrongs dont make a right.

Why is that principal encouraging chaos among students?!?!? If they all start playing pranks on each other who know what will happen? What if someone goes too far and someone gets hurt? That's just asking for a lawsuit!

OMG! the principal can't do that!!!! go to the umm whats it called the superintedent and tell him! if u have no choice i would say suspend her for the rest of the year. if u let her say in school and get praked on, she will never forgive u. and neither will i!

well if it was a prank that was just as bad as what she did to the one girl than i think the compromise should be fine but sinse he said no matter how cruel i would go with the suspension

sounds like a pretty rude prank to me. i think one person, maybe the person she played a prank on, should be able to play one really bad prank on her. if anyone and everyone was given permission to play a prank on her, her life would be a living hell.

Did the principal really say that?..if he did that's wrong...take away something she really enjoys for a month whether its hanging with friends or listening to music...she will learn her lesson

shave her head , its fun and normal to play pranks but to make a girl bald is overboard , i would shave her head and that should be good enough for the principal

personally I'd do the same thing to her and ask her principal to let her stay in school so people can look at her and laugh at her... then theres the usual groundings and no going out... hope this helps.
