if there is nothing wrong with you physically? my husband and i tried and now we are going to try again in august, i thought maybe i just needed a brake, i was not stressed out i was tottaly happy, eating no spicy foods, no caffeen wich they say can make it harder to concieve, and do only basic walking and stretching wich i was told was good ,but that too much exersize that makes your heart rate go up past a certain number could make it hard to concieve as well. so if i am doing everything good even taking prenatal pills than why does it take so long, when some people get pregnant right away?

I know how you feel because I was where you are a year and a half ago. It took me and my husband 5 months to conceive. After having sex literally everyday for 4 months (painful), we decided to quit trying and let the chips fall where they may. And with the pressure of "trying" to get pregnant off of us, we conceived the next month. It seems as though we can never get what we want, when we want it. Just stop wanting it, then it's likely you'll get it. That's how people get pregnant on one night stands; they weren't looking or wanting to get pregnant, but oops, they do. I'm just saying to you give it time and try to relax, it just takes some of us longer than others. You're not alone.

To respond to the second part of your question; the doggy style position seems to work because your uterus is tilted back and gravity helps carry the sperm back into the cervix . Sometimes sperm need a little help too!

How old are you? Nothing "physically" might be wrong, but age-related infertility begins in your mid-twenties and the odds grow higher every year.

A woman is at her most fertile from ages 15 to 25. That's when Nature seems to have intended us to have babies. Unfortunately, many women place their education and careers ahead of having children until it's too late and their infertile due to age alone.

A woman is born with all the eggs she'll ever have. A 15 yr old egg stands a better chance of being healthier than a 30 yr old egg.

Still, my mother had me when she was 44 and my youngest aunt was born in 1929 when my grandma was 47 so it's not impossible to get pregnant at an older age. Depends on a variety of factors.

But keep trying! Don't give up hope! :) Nothing beats having a child of your own! and it's worth it. you can't buy for money (adoption) the kind of love that God blesses you with for free when you have your own child. believe me, i know.

There are a number of things you can do to increase the likelihood of getting pregnant. The first and most important is to have sex when you are fertile. You ovulate about 2 weeks (usually 12-16 days) before your *next* period. You *cannot* know when you will ovulate based on which day of your cycle it is. Sperm can live in the female body for up to 3-5 days. The egg only lives 6-12 (occasionally 24) hours. So you need to have sex shortly before ovulation for the best chance of getting pregnant.

For detailed explanation on how to have your best chance of conceiving, read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It is very detailed and easy to understand.

Sometimes your head is ready but your body isn't. Doctors say that it can take up to 6 months to get pregnant (trying every month). Buy an ovulation kit if you want to help things along! It will tell you when you're ovulating and increase the chance that you'll get pregnant. Until then, enjoy being just the two of you!

It could be cuz your husband's sperms are not strong, or maybe you are rejecting his sperms. If you take a lot of medicines im sure that those medicines ar probably afecting your body in that way. 2 months ago, my girlfriend and i tried to have a baby, and i tough that i couldnt cuz i never tried it before and i was scare, then the first month after we did it without protection, she got pregnant. When you have sex, think of having a baby, think about beautiful things, make love with real love.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job

When you have sex the sperm that is ejaculted has a far way to travel. the sperm can only live for a few hours and it has to get to the egg to be fertalized. Also if you really want to try, try having you both orgasim and the same time, this way your uterus will retract and pull in more sperm.

Its happens when it happens. I wasnt trying to get pregnant and sure enough i am... Sometimes its out of your control. If you just have fun and stay relaxed and dont schedule yourself to have sex, it would make the experiance more enjoyable. It will happen when your body is ready. Dont worry so much...

Just relax...make sure you know exactly when you ovulate, and in that 5 day period, make sure that you have sex every other day. If its been more than a year, talk to yur Dr about fertility pills, or get yourselves tested.
