This 15 year old girl is trying to be my friend. She really seems to want to be friends. Is it strange for me to be friends with her when i'm 18?

she even says that she thinks i could pass for 23 because of the way i carry myself.

why not? you do not have to be the best friends but if she likes you and you kind of like her , why not
this is the age that little girls start making hero and it sounds that you are her hero and the best example...
give it a try but be more like a older sister to her and try to guide her ... be nice to her

No, I was close friends with a 15 year old when I was 18. We were opposite sex, and it did not matter. We were only friends.

No it's not strange at all she probably just looks up to you is all. I'm 27 and one of my best friends is 24 and the other one is 21 and we couldn't have more in common or get along better.

Nope, not really. You are only 3 years apart so it's not a big deal. She might be trying to be friends with you because she looks up to you as a role model. It's perfectly fine to be friends with her - just don't get her hooked up with guys your age or get her into drinking, smoking etc.

I don't think it matters how old you are to be friends with someone. The only question you should have is do I want to be friends with her.
