there was a movie or show I watched a long time ago that gave the best answer to this that I ever heard. Most politicians are lawyers first and a lawyer spends his whole day getting good at lying to 12 people eventually they get so good at it that they decide they can lie to 12 million people .....This was told as a joke but I think its true

Because the truth about the way the world is run is so awful and geared to serve a few selfish agendas that if the truth kept being let out then people would eventually completely reject the system. So the system does what ever it can to survive, one way is give liars careers and honest people the sack.

We could all prevent corruption like liars in governments if enough of us just stopped paying tax. The system would have to meet any demands we make inorder to survive. That is how you change things not voting for the systems latest puppet who promises "change".

Compared to the general public, they are extremely honest, if you actually look at the numbers.

Why do people ignore that and focus on the worst for police officers, military men, priests, and elected officials? Why do people forget that news presents the UNUSUAL, not the usual. If we presented every time YOU got caught in a lie, would we have time for anything else? Most of us don't stand up very well.

Usually the people who keep saying this sort of nonsense are really interested in undermining our country just enough to gain political power for "their side", putting their political party ahead of their allegence to the country. This kind of seditious behavior undermines us all.

Oh, they have free speech, but so do we. We'll answer them.

Well its hard to vote for a politician that doesn't Lie you have to vote for the one that tells the most truths. They lie to get that cushy paid for life job and the power that comes behind it. There like sales people in a car lot! They only tell you what you wanna here during elections!

They lie to accomasate what people want to hear, not what they need to hear. People want to feel secure, so they take advantage of that. Also, no democracy is perfect, and many other things that go on in our government aren't fail, such as lobbying and bribery.

Lets see what happens in the case of Iraq

Islamic countries have oil. Big transnational companies need oil so they bribe some western governments to produce lame excuses and terrorize the western public so that they can steal away oil, just like in Iraq.

They don't mean to be . They think they have to tell us what we want to hear to get elected , then they do what they can , to make big money from the lobbiest and help out the corporations ( not us ) while in office . We pay them well and they get to give themselves raises , the best health plans and pension plans that money can buy . They also get SS when they retire . Do you get that at your job !!!!
I think it's time to say to them all , " Your Fired " .

job requierment, like a good stripper, he must tell you exactly what you want to hear, but democracy like the good lap dances go to the highest bidder, so form a group of like minded friends and hire a lobbyist to fight for your interests, politicians pimp out democracy to the lobbyists, don't hate the player, hate the game and learn how to play it so you won't get played
