I never got involved with any particular political party, instead I have spoken and voted in line with what I felt best. I don't believe anyone has ALL the right answers, not even me ... so I ascertain the best rought possible to achieve the best result through all the options. Is that being Liberal? I don't advertise with logos on my shirts and I'm sick of being politically labled because of my opinions. I am an American first ... opinionated, second.

Don't be sad. It makes me laugh when people throw the word "liberal" around like it's an insult. "You...you...LIBERAL, you." Not quite on par with calling someone a m*therf*cker, is it?

Certain political opinions are promulgated by people who have marxist ties and an evil agenda. Currently, the title they hide behind is "liberal". Just like communist, socialist and nazi, this term has been revealed to represent an evil agenda with sick goals such as genocide (for example, the genocide of millions of people in Vietname these people worked tirelessly to make happen).

If you support these political opinions, it means one of two things. You are either too stupid to know you are being manipulated toward an evil end....or you support that evil agenda whole heartedly and have hands steeped in blood. More and more, people are learning that most people aren't simple dupes but are much more the latter....knowing full well what they are doing.

Why are you so surprised that people judge you harshly for this? At best, you need to wake up and smell the coffee and take a serious look at the behavior of others who vote like you do. Attend an anti-war rally or something and notice all the people carrying around signs that say death to america, death to israel and all the coordinators wearing communist symbols on their shirt. That'll wake you up.....hopefully.

Better yet, spend some time reading the info from this site. See who the movers and shakers are behind your beliefs and what they are doing and why. See if your beliefs can withstand that scrutiny. I bet they can't.

People who behave as if the very word, "liberal" (or "feminist," or "conservative," or whatever), were an insult, instead of a mere descriptive adjective, have a political agenda, one that dismisses--rather than respectfully considers--other people's POV. They are intellectually lazy. They only enjoy parroting "the party line."

Given that this sort of person (and, unfortunately, they seem to becoming more and more common) is incapable of logic, and is only able to launch "ad hominem"-type attacks on others, I'd tend to be dismissive of them. I'd put no energy into what they say whatsoever. At the very most, I'd tell them that they're not thinking for themselves, given that they're just repeating the drivel of some political pundit or another.

I am A liberal ,because I do not want a Government that dictates its Conservative ways on me. But I am Politically a Independent and will vote for who I think is best for the Job but sadly many do not vote at all, who do the most complaining.

Your an independent if you don't follow party lines, not a liberal. Liberals are democrats that want to be socialists.

You must be in one of those bible belt states - Dont listen to those conservatives. The best politics is to do what you feel right.

If everyone were more like you this country would be a better place. The "conservative" movement is driving by the ultra conservative Christian right. Therefore, as with there religion, if you're not with them, you're against them.
