Well the Still is the hard part,,The rest is simple,
Take ya 1 bushel or a 1/2 bushell shell corn course ground for better results, add enough water to cover corn (double)and simmer till corn is soft about 3 to 4 hrs at just barely boiling. remove from heat and cool to about 170 degrees. Now ya ready to make ya mash..Add about 4 cups barley and let 'er sit four about 4 hours,,,strain this mixture so ya just have clear liquid, (now at this point ya want to taste er, and she should have a slightly bitter but very sweet liquid it 's called "wort" put er in your still and heat the sucker up to 182 degrees and holder there "no Higher" Run your coils out of te still , and preferably thru some water to cool em........To age your drink take ya a bunck of peach or apple wood and scourch it put it in a container and pour ya drink on it let er sit for about a week (or shake it few times) and strain it to get the chared wood out......Take 1 sip and wait an hour then take to sips and wait an hour the take three sips and wait an hour ,,,If ya don't go blind , cut the rest of the liquid with distilled water by 50%^..Enjoy !

look it up on the Internet. A few months ago I was interested in the same thing and found many good recipes for moonshine. there are even web sites that tell you how to make small stills to use in the basement. The one problem is that once you start to make the shine you have to be able to keep brewing until it is finished.
Good Luck.
