So last night I was at the gym changing my clothes in the locker room when a really fat lady walked in. Instead of going into the dressing room to change, she just started stripping right there in the middle of them room. At this time I stick my pointer finger into my mouth and pretend to gag myself. I am so upset and disgusted at the sight of it that I say to the fatty..."come on, nobody wants to see that sh*t! Cant you go into the dressing room and do that?" About this time she starts to cry. Can you imagine what I was going through? A big nasty b*tch, standing in the middle of the room in a little pink thong, crying! I stormed out of the room and she went downstairs to complain! A few moments later an employee came to me and asked me to leave. She actually cut up my membership right in front of me! Do I have a lawsuit? Shouldn't I be able to get my money back for the year that I paid in advance?

I think that you could have handled it a little differently...Maybe you could have offered her a snickers or some chicken or something.

You are completely in the wrong. When people look at you, they may want to gag, but they probably don't say that because they have class. The gym was legally in the right to discontinue your membership. Depending how long you paid, you might be able to get some of the money back. The gym does not want trash like you in there bothering the other customers, so they will probably refund your money to dissacoiate themselves with such an ignorant person. You should learn to treat people better, or you will be the one always asked to leave.

Your user ID says it all-- arrogant stuck up b*tch. I'd be willing to bet your probably a 4 on a 1-10 scale but think your much better.
The fact that you asked if it was mean also says alot about how shallow you are.
If you didn't want to see it, you could have averted your eyes or turned around.
You got less than what you deserved. You should have had your lights punched out-- or been slammed into the locker by the "whole lot of rosie"
That "fatty" was going there to lose weight. She is also a paying customer and shouldn't have to put up with your garbage.
And on top of it all, you have the nerve to go complain about her?
As somebody said-- Karma-- it will come back to you.

Yeah, that was pretty mean if you ask me. I feel you should get your money back from the gym, but a law suit, no way! Girl, you are lucky that fat chick doesn't sue you for deflamation of character because by law she very well could. We all have something about ourselfs we don't like. How would you like it if some one started talkin crap about that one thing you don't like about yourself? How would you feel if you were the fat chick and some one said that to you? It would probable make you feel like a peice of sh*t. Put yourself in her shoes and mabey you will see it in a different way and mabey next time you should look the other way and keep your mouth shut. Remeber the golden rule: treat others how you would like to be treated.

Not only do you not have a lawsuit, you also obviously don't have any feelings. She's at a GYM. She OBVIOUSLY knows that she has to lose weight and is doing something about it. How would YOU feel if someone basically said to you that the sight of you made them sick? Not very good, I bet. So keep your nasty comments to yourself. Just be lucky she cried and didn't punch you in the face instead.

If the contract for your gym membership had any clause in it that stated that the gym reserves the right to cancel your membership for any conduct that is abusive toward other members (or something similar to that), you're out. You can probably get the pro-rated amount of money back for the unused part of the year, but they can DEFINITELY end your membership on the spot for that.

Its a privately wned facility and the can terminate you membership at will, without explanation and without refunding your money. Maybe you should grow up, get some couth and not treat people who have bodies that do'nt fit yor standard of beauty in such cruel ways. If I have been that lady, I would have simply beaten your skinny *** to a bloody pulp and then laughed about it over a big steak with my other fat friends.

You were somewhat insensitive. Some people don't want to see ANY ONE undress, but it is their prerogative to do so. When it is your world, you can call the shots all the time. Until then, you have to deal with the unpleasantries that go on around you. Just thank the Lord it's not you.
Yeah you have a right to freedom of speech, but was it worth it? What could you have done differently?

No, you don't have a lawsuit..and yes, that was a rude thing that u did..you should've kept your comment to yourself..I mean, you are in a gym..people are changing, taking showers, etc..so sometimes, u do see things that u wish u would'nt have to see..but you should be mature enough not to have to comment on it. not everyone u see is going to be a size 2..the only reason you said it was because she was over weight..but i bet if she was a size 00 it wouldn't of bothered you..I'm actually pissed at the lady cuz she cried, cuz I personally would've curse your as* out!

The gym might have rules about harassing/demeaning other members. You better check those out.
Also, you must be one major bi t ch to say something like that. At least that woman was at the gym trying to do something about her appearance. No, she has to hear some s h it-talking bi t ch putting her down.
I sincerely hope you are joking because if you're not, you make the world a worse place to live in.

Yeah, you should be able to get your money back. No, I doubt you have a lawsuit, unless they refuse to give you your money. Next time it is better to go to them and quietly complain, not making a scene. Yes, what she was doing was inappropriate but it is not right to treat people like that. It is also quite ironic that you thought that what the gym people did was mean after she basically insulted her. Next time, handle things quietly...such as go directly to management and in a pleasant voice inform them of your discontent...it works.
