My mum and dad have tickets to the most efficient (they bypass to church with Routh's mum and dad, I nevertheless call him BJ). The IMAX theatre in Des Moines is a dome theatre and curves the image, distinctly on the perimeters. It would not look that sturdy it really is purely too undesirable because i love the "IMAX journey".

I would see it in a regular theater, so long as you mean with a nice large screen, surround sound, and comfy stadium seating.
IMAX is just too big for some things. I really don't need to know what an actor's nose hair looks like.
