messenger wise.. i think yahoo is slightly better than msn. However having said that, i still prefer using msn over yahoo cos i am used to it. but i find yahoo much better and reliable. it's fast, it's easy and has lot of cool tools. and from my point of view, msn tries to copy yahoo. if yahoo brings anything new, msn quickly copies that. hehe! it's just my view. anyways.. have a nice day

Both of them are great. The question is: how many family members have Yahoo or MSN and how many of your friends have Yahoo or MSN.

Yahoo - i have a msn account but msn is very dangerous - people can add you just like that and can be scary. And people can hack into the account and talk to your friends and treat them horribly.

YAHOO! Invisible & stealth setting cant be done in MSN. If you dont want your friends to mis-understand you, while your online & busy, go for yahoo (you can select signing in invisible mode). If you want to make enemies go for MSN.

I use both on daily bases, they both have pro's ans con's but if you forced me in to a corner - i would say Yahoo was the better choice.

I feel that all the IMs are about the same with some slightly different features try them all out and find what you like best.
