Everybody's got the right to voice their political views! This is America!
People only have a problem with celebs doing this when they're liberal, you'll notice!

All Americans have that right, however, consider the source before you put any value on what a celeb has to say. A few (very few) are intelligent people, though most of them did not finish high school. Each of us has the right and the responsibility to think for ourselves, don't leave the fate of our nation in the hands of those who make a living of make-believe!

They can, only if their able to handle the political ramifications.
People generally appreciate celebs because of their talent and ability's NOT their political views. Take for example the Dixie Chicks, To disrespect our president WHILE were at war was just plain stupid ! Also gave aid and comfort to the enemy !!! Ever heard of treason?

Sure, why not. The problem that they run into, just like the problems for anyone, is that they need to be aware of what the results of those views and expressing them may be. When you make your living based on being popular, anything you do to damage that popularity can only harm you. I didn't see a large number of Dimocrats rushing out to buy the new Dixie Chicks album in support. Their numbers tanked because their base of fans tend to lean to the right. I defend their right to say it and would not tell them that they couldn't. I guess they need to find some liberal country music fans...quick.

i think anyone has a right to express their views.
what i resent is when they use the platform they have because of their celebrity status and act as if because they have the voice they have some special insight or qualifications to be listened to on a matter. Barbra Streisand for example can hardly write a coherent sentence...she's a singer...and she's going to speak on world affairs and politics like shes an authority? She has a right to her opinion, but her celebrity status supplies an audience in that area she doesn't deserve...that's BS....gee a pun lol

Yes, but for their own sake they should know what they are talking about first. Anyone with common sense knows that most of these celebs that talk political points make idiots of themselves.

They should voice their views, but they're taken way too seriously. If half of the political analysts have no idea what they're talking about, then 95% of Hollywood has no clue.

of course. It's the media who make the celebs look bad, voicing their opinions, most of the time.

Yes. Celebs, politicians, pundits, cooks, waiters, fishermen, chemists, doctors, lawyers, etc...should all voice their political views.
