You can still buy them at Amazon.com. They have quite a few different ones like Sea Monkeys on Mars that come with a tiny "Mars" aquarium for them and supplies.

i use to have sea monkeys lol but i just threw them out one day because u couldnt even see them they were tiny specks floating in the water....it was kinda boring

Like lots of things, they were a trend. Like the pet rock, they died out. But VH1 recognized them as one of the top 100 toys. Fun!

Many are on the carpet now. I never got over the disappointment of them not looking like the "fanciful illustration" on the box.
