i loved D Wade until the 2006 Finals, in which Wade enjoyed the most blatent case of favortism I have seen in professional sports to date. First off, he is an amazing player, I do not want to take that from him, but, it is pretty clear that celebrity appeal drives NBA stardom, after all he hangs with pop stars and was voted one of the world's 50 most beautiful people by a major magazinge, the NBA was drooling over this guy!!! They will prop him up any way they can. Look at Miami's last offensive possesions in games 5 and 6 and look no further!

No he is not. Jordan did what Jordan did. Wade does what Wade does. I hate that everytime someone does an exciting move, takes over in the clutch, does an athletic dunk or shot, or damm near anything worth mentioning that they are always called the "next" somebody. Oh he's the next Jordan. He's the next Magic. He's the next Bird. Fine, make your comparisons, but leave it at that. Stop trying to force new great players to be or replace old great players. When you do that, instead of recognizing what Kobe or Wade or Lebron is doing great, you only focus on what they don't do like Jordan or Magic or Bird. That is a great injustice.

I dont think that ANYONE is the next Michael Jordan. I dont think that its fair to compare the two because Michael won 6 rings, and Wade has just won his first. But that is not to say Wade isnt a great player.

No. No one will ever be as good as Jordan. Simple as that. Wade is a great player, but he's nowhere close to the level of Jordan.

I don't think MJ was the best all around player ever, but he was definitely the best and most unstoppable scorer, the best leaper/dunker, and the best clutch player ever.
I respect Wade to a point, and that point is all the girly fouls the refs call for him.
I don't think he would get as many free throws even in the WNBA!

ONE ring does not make an MJ. He's got a few more fingers to fill and a bunch more stats to accumulate but........we shall see!
He surely shows promise and deserves the preferential treatment and exposure he is presently receiving. There are many tangibles that will have to fall in place for him to reach MJ status.
