if your snare drum's strings rattle too much, drape an old t-shirt over your snare. If your bass drum is too loud, stuff an old pillow or blanket inside of it. if you're tom tom drums reverberate too much, they are too loose, tighten the key lugs on the side.

here is how i set up my drumset

a good sized pillow in the bass drum and some electrical tape ( just a strip or two) on the toms will keep the heads from reverbing too much ...dont over do it though you dont want to muffle the drums completely ...but every drummer does differnt things ...rock on ..!

it helps the drums not get beat up so quickly
