it takes as long as 9 months till your babies true eye color emerges. and all babies are not born with a natural blue eye color. it depends on the genetics of the baby. a baby born with brown eyes more than likely stay within the shade of brown. babies born with blue eyes usually develop into a green, hazel, or a different shade of blue.

It varies widely. Most babies will have their finaleye color by 6 months. The vast majority will by 12 months. Occasionally, baby's eyes change later than that (my sister's eyes changed from blue to brown after her first birthday, after her doctor had assured my mother that they would be their ultimate color by 6 months old). And eyes can change color from blue to gray (which is a variant of blue) even in young adulthood.

By age one. Some babies are actually born with brown or gray eyes. My daughter's were a really deep slate gray color. We could never really give it a name but by shortly after her first birthday they were a light brown.
