At first I was dissapointed b/c I didn't want to see Shaq win another title. I think he's manipulative and I didn't want to see him win ish. Then, as the camera moved around to other Heat players, I realized that one of my favorite players had finally won a ring. Immediately, I forgot all about Shaq and was happy for Gary Payton. The Glove had suffered enough Finals heartbreak, and I'm glad he gets to retire with some hardware. Also, I was happy to see a couple of other oft-maligned players be able to call themselves champions. Many people beat up on Antione Walker. Heck, his own fans booed him this season. Then there was White Chocolate, Jason Williams. The Kings and the Grizzlies got rid of him b/c they didn't feel that he played point guard in a fashion that could make them champions. Well, I guess he got the last laugh. I was even happy for Shandon Anderson. The media sheds tears for Stockton and Malone b/c they couldn't get past Jordan to win at least one ring. Well, Anderson was with the Jazz while the Bulls were breaking their hearts. Then there is Zo. Alonzo Mourning played so hard for so long and then had it all taken away due to health problems. Guys that work as hard as he does deserve to be champions.

The only downside is that for the next few seasons we have to hear about the Lakers and Kobe and Shaq, and how Shaq got a title first. They won't mention that Shaq scored 9 points in game 6 or how he was just Wade's sidekick that was along for the ride. They'll make it seem like he was the sole reason the Heat won. Nevermind the former all-stars that are smattered throughout the roster. Shaq did it and Kobe didn't. I'm going to get sick of that and the "Wade is the next Jordan" hype. Wade is the first Wade. Let Jordan rest in peace.

YES. I am happy to see players like Alonzo Morning and Gary Payton earn well deserved rings. And since i HATE Kobe Bryant so much, I am glad that no one can say that Shaq couldnt or didnt win without Kobe. I though that was bogus in the first place because before there was a Kobe thing, there was Penny acting the same way.

Heck no. I almost cried. I think the mavs LET them win...they could have won if they would have played as hard as they should have. I am still very proud of them though. It's something to say that you even made it to the finals.
