I want to get a teardrop on my foot, in memory of my aunt who died of cancer last year. I was wondering how much pain will be involved and is there anyplace on the body that won't be as painful?

Blim F- I do donate money to Cancer research but this is something personal I want to do for me. And I want it in the middle on the top of my foot... kind of where the instep is.

Tom V- I am not worried about people admiring it at my grave site. Once again, this is something PERSONAL I want to do. Just for me. Something that will help me with this. Please, people, when answering, be sensitive.

Having a needle poke you again and again is painful but with that small of tattoo it should not be that bad - just make sure to do it in the summer/spring area so you can wear flip flops for a week to let it heal. Remember it is only going to hurt for a an hour or two then it is there for life - you do not have to do it again

On the top of your foot, or the bottom?

The bottom is going to hurt, hurt, hurt.

You could get a tatoo on your elbow - but don't bump it until it heals.

Why don't you give the tatoo money to cancer research, and just forget the tat? You'd be doing a lot more good.

This really depends on your pain tolerance. I have 3 tattoos, one on my hand (cuz I'm a dumb ***) one on my forearm (dumb *** again) and one on my back. When I got the one on my hand the needle kept hitting a nerve and that hurt a bit. Other than that the pain is more of an annoyance.

Good Luck!

It will hurt, any tat will hurt, it's a needle in your skin but it's worth it in my humble opinion!
If you want a place that won't hurt to much, try the upper/outer part of your arm, that one isn't bad at all.
If you really want it on your foot do it, it really isn't as bad as you think it's going to be.

I have a sunburst on my big toe... it didn't hurt any worse than my other tats. When he tatted my cuticle it was a little tender, but not unbearable. Just get it! You'll want more!

It will be painful in that area because of the nerves and bones. But if it is worth it, pain shouldn't matter! :)

IT WILL HURT A LOT. UPPER ARM FOR LESS PAIN.
DO YOU WANT AIDS/HIV OR HEP.C. THAT'S THE DOWN SIDE. NO ONE WILL ADMIRE YOUR TATTOO AT YOUR GRAVE SITE......GOOD LUCK.........
